 Journey from habitual belief to thoughtful belief

There is no such thing as the future o animals. A dog cannot be trained to get more by playing with some meat and bones tomorrow or next week. He has nothing to say about tomorrow. They currently live. But people often plan 20-30, even 50 years. This difference in thought-consciousness, as it exists between man and beast (both creatures), exists at an infinite level between creation and the Creator. The nature of the Creator as a human being, meditation, functions, motives, etc., are many things beyond the imagination of our thinking. In Islam it is called Ghayb.

Most of the children who grew up in a religious environment start practicing religion as a part of the family tradition and some of the social environment. Later it became a habit. With age comes worldly progress, religion for the sake of security, I am no exception. At a very young age, the question arises in my mind, what is the real issue, why we are following the religious rules and regulations, what is the basis of belief in Allah and the Hereafter? Millions of people around the world spend a lot of time doing religious work every day, and there is an argument behind walking down the street. In that case, what is our argument? Some people say that all these are speculations, superstitions, irrational, baseless talk. I also started thinking about Allah, the afterlife, paradise, hell, No one has seen the day of judgment or there is no evidence of it. Just then I came across an article published in a Saudi Arabian newspaper called 'Arab News'. Written in English. ঐ The article explains the word unseen-

'To trust in Allah (boundless He is in His greatness) is to have confidence in what the future held of human insight. It isn't workable for people to fathom the idea of Allah. Whenever they have faith in Him, they perceive the aftereffects of His activities however they can't imagine His tendency or how He functions. Additionally, the life to come is something that lies past the range of human discernment. All that connects with the Day of Judgment, the retribution, the award and the discipline all have a place with the world past. We have confidence in that since Allah through His Prophets has informed us concerning them and all we have seen helps us to believe ALLAH for all we have not seen'.

At the beginning of the Holy Quran, Allah the Almighty said, 'This book so that there is no doubt. Which is a guide for the God-fearing. Those who believe in the unseen and establish salat and spend out of what We have provided for them '  (Baqarah 2-3 / 2-3) .

Any prohibition mentioned in the Qur'an is called fard and disobeying it is called kabir or major sin. Believing in the unseen is the direct instruction of Allah mentioned in the Holy Quran. The word 'unseen' appears 56 times in the Holy Quran. Although it has been translated into Bengali as 'invisible' in various publications. However, the unseen is not the only meaning of the unseen according to the meanings given by the Arabs above. There may or may not be an invisible thing about the unseen. The correct and comprehensive meaning of the unseen is the correct interpretation given in the Arab News. In the hadith, Hazrat Muhammad (sm) has said, "I have been sent with a language in which only a small part of it carries great meaning and significance"  (Muslim H / 523).As an example of the unseen, it is not possible or necessary for a factory worker to be able to understand the rationale of all the thoughts, consciousness, motives, decisions, instructions of the factory manager. Many aspects of the director's activities are beyond the scope of his thinking. That is why the workers are not constantly challenging the various decisions and orders of the director. Because he understands that he does not need to know these things or his responsibility.

A visible example of the unseen may be the sun, the sky, the wind, even if we see them with our eyes. If we knew how they worked, what they were made of, what their origins were, how many years they would have been or would be, we could have made something more similar. Although these have been seen, we have never had or will never have the full knowledge of them. Therefore, even though they are visible, they are invisible. I have a 100 taka note in my pocket, I can tell its type, shape, usage, benefits, I know where and what it is made of. Even many people are making fake money and making fake transactions. As a result, even if it disappears, it does not disappear.

However, once I understood the true meaning of the word unseen, a huge smoke billowed from my world of religion. I understand that it is unrealistic for us to understand the great God or His actions, commands and prohibitions with our limited thoughts and perceptions. Coincidentally, two more important ideas came to my mind soon after. The combination of these three concepts makes the whole religious matter as clear as daylight to me.

The second incident is a neon sign about 20 feet long written on the roof of a factory saying 'Perfection is not an accident'. By perfection here the factory authorities may be referring to the quality of the products they produce. Anyway, at least I didn't go down without explaining myself first. Some people say that the universe, the earth, the moon, the sun, the human race all happened naturally or accidentally or in the course of natural evolution. One thing to understand in this case, natural evolution then why it has stopped for thousands of years? New creation, new world, why people are not changing into another race species?

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an, 'Who created the seven heavens in layers. You will not find any fault in the creation of the Merciful. Take a look again! Do you see any cracks? Then you look again and again! Which will come back to you after failure and exhaustion '  (Mulak 6 / 3-4) .

He further said, 'With that water He produces for you crops, olives, dates, grapes and all kinds of fruits. It contains patterns for the thinking community. He has made the night and the day and the sun and the moon subservient to you. And the constellations have also obeyed his command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who know. '  (Nahl 16 / 11-12) .

He mentioned these as signs for the thinkers, but he did not say that these are signs / proofs for all people. In the present age, most people are not able to think or have the desire. He is so preoccupied with personal pursuits and pleasures that the world of religious thought is completely closed. Most of the religions you practice are traditional, habitual, family, social or worldly achievements or helpful in safe living. The pleasure of Allah is not the main issue there.

From this it is understood that the universe, the earth, all the creations of the earth, mankind did not come into being by itself. Someone or someone had to plan the whole thing. The order of making had to be given, the type of making had to be determined. If anyone sees a car in the desert and thinks it is a naturally occurring car. That would be a big mistake.

The third incident is that a participant in a radio talk show on religion is asked, do not the resurrection, the day of judgment, paradise, hell seem miraculous, unusual? In reply, he said, "Honestly, our present life is full of miraculous, wonderful events." Our earth, all the creatures of the earth, man, the physical, mental capacity of man, the sea, the sun, the moon, the earth, all these things are also miraculous and unusual things. We have become accustomed to all these miraculous and unusual things since birth and because of our daily involvement. I have taken these as normal, conventional, natural.

To illustrate: When we are in the forest, we see trees, but we do not see the forest. Or when we are under the river we see the water, not the huge river. In the same way, we always see and enjoy the light of the sun, the trees, the sky, the water with our eyes in the creation of Allah. But I do not see the miracle of these. The way our body, eyes, fingers, every organ works is a miracle. If these were normal, we could make these factories. As such we are able to create money making factories. In fact believers in religion are not superstitious; Rather, the unbelievers are blind and unbelievers, they are blind even when they see the great creation of Allah. Doesn't think and doesn't believe.

Many people have misinterpreted the matter and said that wanting to see evidence about faith (belief) is in conflict with faith. Evidence-based belief is no longer a belief. In this way, they are inciting blind faith. Allah Himself is proving His signs innumerable times in different Surahs in the Holy Quran. To show disrespect to the guidance and signs of Allah without considering the huge, tiny patterns that we are living in 24 hours a day. In any worldly transaction such as a fair deal or bill in favor of money owed, In that case, Allah has mentioned His guidance many times for the convenience of His servants to understand. The truth of the Holy Qur'an is also a strong foundation of belief in Allah and the Hereafter. Even in the 14th century, the Holy Qur'an has remained intact and the discovery of science has been consistent with the information of the Holy Qur'an. In Surah An-Naml, it is mentioned that the leader of the ants who instructed all the ants to go to the safe shelter was a female ant (different verbs are used for different sexes in Arabic). Scientists have recently discovered that females lead among ants and bees.

Many refer to the prophet's honesty as the basis of faith. Although indirect, it is a strong proof and it is an irrefutable document about many unseen things like angels, jinn etc. But in that case people of other religions will say that their prophet was also truthful. So their religion is the truth.

The foundation of faith in Allah, His messengers, prophets and scriptures is very strong, enduring and everlasting, by thinking and realizing by looking at the signs of creation around us as directed by Allah in the Holy Quran. Otherwise, believing in Allah on the basis of fear of disease, believing in the failure of science against disease, or believing in happiness by escaping from the gates of death, or believing on the basis of contact with any religious guru or group or inflammatory speech may not be sustainable. It is very easy to choose the direction of life when the faith of Allah, the Prophet, the scriptures, the hereafter, is strong. Life is very convenient.

The correct idea of ​​the unseen gives us simple answers to many complex questions. What was before Allah or where did Allah start from etc. There is nothing before or after God. Our people have a beginning and an end. Because my knowledge is limited, Allah is infinite, limitless. Our body, time, place, life, thoughts, vision are all limited. It is not possible to understand the infinite with all these limitations. Scientists have recently discovered that the universe is always expanding without any boundaries and there is no end to it.

There are simple answers to many such complex and difficult questions in Islam. Such a question is what is the purpose of organizing so much earth, mankind, space, afterlife by the great God? One of the purposes of the Qur'an is to test people. However, another important purpose mentioned in the hadith Qudsi is that Allah wants to share with His creation the attributes of Allah, kingdom, creation, power, kindness, forgiveness, etc. As human beings we also share something good. And to share that created the world and mankind. People want to see the qualities of God such as honesty, discipline, justice, kindness, non-violence, greedless qualities in people. God does not want to see the attributes of Satan such as violence, arrogance, obscenity, lies, deception, miserliness, injustice, oppression in people.

It is unfortunate that Islam, the Holy Quran, the prophet Muhammad (sm) is being insulted without understanding the rational truth, information, good qualities, answers to complex questions that we have received. Due to habitual faith, many musallis are taking the side of transgressors, hypocrites, oppressors and infidels. May Allah bless us to understand our issues properly and apply them accordingly - Amen!
