The history of Valentine's Day is ancient. It began with the 'spiritual love' prevalent among the pagan Romans about 1600 years ago. It was associated with some myths, which later became common among Roman Christians. There are various descriptions of Valentine's Day. Such as- 1. St. Valentine, the high priest of the Roman emperor Claudius II, was sentenced to death on February 14, 260, for disobeying the king's order to reject Christianity. 2. But St. Valentine, a Roman bishop, rejected it and secretly married. When the news reached the emperor, he was arrested and executed on 14 February 269 AD. Since then, the day has been celebrated as Valentine's Day or 'Valentine's Day' after the name of this priest.
In the western world, gifts are exchanged between lovers, friends, relatives and even family members on this day. Gift items include letter exchange, food, flowers, books, pictures, 'Be my valentine', love poems, songs, mourning cards etc. Pictures or statues of Cupid are placed on greeting cards, at festival venues or elsewhere. It is a baby with wings, a bow in his hand and an arrow pointing at his lover's heart. On this day the students of the school also decorate their classrooms and perform ceremonies.
One of the various ceremonies celebrated on this day is the blood of dogs and sheep on the bodies of two strong muscular young men. Then after washing it with milk, the two of them would be taken out in front for a long walk. These two young men had whips in their hands, with which they hit the passers-by in front of the procession. There was a superstition among the Roman women that if they were hit by this whip, they would be freed from infertility. For this purpose they used to travel in front of the procession.
Printing cards have been around since the 17th century. These cards contained words of good and evil, fear and despair. Cards exchanged on Valentine's Day from the mid-18th century to the early 19th century contained insulting poems.

A class of young people in our country, young and old even begin to dance! They come to five star hotels, parks, gardens, lakes and university areas to make love, but they do not have love in their own home! The love of our Bangladeshi Valentines who celebrate this day in imitation is the name of life and the complexity of life; Names of parents, siblings; The name of being free from the bondage of morality. The result of their love is 'catch discount' and 'discount catch' new partners. The orgy of their capture continues throughout life.
In the current era of free flow of information, Muslim society is following the western culture for the benefit of satellites. Forgetting their own individuality, ignoring religious precepts, they are trying to be progressive today. As a result, the Muslim nation is bowing its head in their actions. But the Prophet (sm) has forbidden it long ago.
Sahabi Abu Aked (R) said that the Prophet (sm) crossed a tree of the idolaters on his journey to Khaybar. The name of the tree they had was 'Jatu Anwat'. Arrows would be drawn on it. Seeing this, some Sahabis said to the Prophet (sm), O Messenger of Allah! Define such a 'Jatu Anwat' for us too. The Prophet (sm) expressed his anger, 'Subhanallah, this is like the nation of Moses (AS). Make us a lord, like their lord. I am sure, I swear by Allah, you will blindly follow the rituals of the previous ones '( Mishkat H / 5406; Sahihul Jame' H / 3601) . Elsewhere the Prophet (sm) said, مَنْ تَشَبَّهَ بِقَوْمٍ فَهُوَ مِنْهُمْ 'The person who imitates the nation will be considered to belong to that nation' ( Abu Dawood H / 4031; Mishkat H / 4346) .
Although the human heart is imitative, it must be remembered that from the Islamic point of view, it is abominable and reprehensible. Especially if the subject to be imitated is Aqeedah, Ibadat, anti-religious signs, and if the imitative person is a heretic, a foreigner. Unfortunately, Muslims are becoming increasingly vulnerable to religious observances, rituals, and beliefs, and are increasingly imitating foreigners. One of which is 14th February or Valentine's Day. For Muslims, observing these days is a heinous crime.
Many people are subconsciously involved in these crimes, but they do not even know how big crimes they are committing. Greetings and thanks to those who are involved in shirk and kufr. Thus falling into the punishment of Allah.
Developing relations with Muslims and severing ties with infidels is a characteristic of Muslims. So we have a duty and duty to love the Muslims, to hate the infidels, to be hostile to them and to reject their rituals. This is where we are safe, here is our welfare, otherwise there is a possibility of loss.
Some may say, we do not accept their aqeedah-belief, we observe this day only to create love through compromise. But through this obscenity spreads in the society and adultery spreads. A chaste and pious Muslim woman or man can never be involved in such filth.
Celebrating this day is not a matter of nature. Rather, it is the importation of Western culture into a boy's relationship with a girl. We know that they do not adhere to any rules and regulations to protect the society from stumbling and disaster. Whose ugly face is evident before us today. In contrast to their obscene culture, we have many decent rituals.
At one time the value of ethics in Muslim society was unlimited. Shyness and purity were the ornaments of this society. It was easier for a boy to carry a heavy load on his back than to go out on the street with a stranger. And in the case of girls, there was no time to think about it. But from where we have reached today! It's a nightmare, like Valentine's Day. By all these simple, virtuous, immaculate people are going astray.
In conclusion, when a large number of people in this world do not eat, when our future generation of Kandari children die of hunger, malnutrition; In which humanity do we waste a lot of money in the name of illegal entertainment? Therefore, it is our religious duty to survive from all these subcultures at any cost. May Allah grant us grace.-Amen!
