Why Muslims don't celebrate Christmas ?

Why don't Muslims celebrate Christmas?

.

What is Christmas?

For one group of Christians this day is known as the birthday of the Creator, while for another community it is known as the birthday of the child of the Creator. On this day they spend a lot of time exchanging gifts, decorating, a variety of food, drinking special tea, going to church and so on.

The English word Christmas has two parts, one is Christ and the other is Mass,

Christ is the title of Jesus, and mas means birthday. Then Christmas means the birth of Jesus.

.

Although Christians today celebrate this day as Jesus' birthday, in reality the date of his birth is not accurately described in history. There is disagreement among Christians about this. Therefore, Catholics celebrate December 25 as Christmas, while Orthodox celebrate January 8 as Christmas.

Christmas is undoubtedly a religious holiday for Christians, but who tells us about the formality of Christians today and the reaction of their predecessors to the birth of Jesus (pbuh) at that time? Aren't today's Christmas watchers the next generation to slander the mother of Jesus during her birth? Who called him the Son of God? And who wanted to kill him?

Alas! Those who wanted to kill him are celebrating his birthday today. It's like a thief's big throat.

.

.

❏ In general, what is the date of Jesus' birth?

.

According to Catholics, it is December 25, and according to Orthodox, it is January 8. Initially, Christian texts did not specify the exact date. However, according to the commentary on the Qur'an, it can be seen that Allah said to Mary (peace be upon her) during her pregnancy:

وَهُزِّي إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَلِطَ

"And shake the trunk of the date palm towards you, from which ripe dates will fall on you." (Surah Maryam 25)

.

From this it is clear that Jesus was not born in December or January, but in June or July, because dates are a summer fruit, not a winter fruit. So, if his date of birth is not set correctly, then on what grounds is this formality? Subhanallah!

.

See, the date of birth of our Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is not specified, nor is the date of birth of Jesus (peace be upon him). It seems to me that through this God saved His two prophets from human exaggeration.

Islamic Perspectives for Christmas:

Semantically the word Christmas is a broad word. Because the word means "Birthday of the Lord or Birth of the Son of the Lord." Nauju billahi min jalik, the great God is pure from this.

The Word of God: "Three have not given birth to anyone, and no one has given birth to him." (Surah Ihlas-3). Therefore, it is haram for a Muslim to say this word orally.

.

It is narrated in the hadith:

On the other hand, the imam said: [Narrated by Abu Daoud N 4031 and Ahmad N 5093].

Narrated by Abu Umama Al-Bahali (may Allah be pleased with him): He said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said:

.

He who accepts the likeness of a nation will be considered to belong to them, and he who loves a nation will be with them. ”(Hadith of Abu Daud № 4031, Musnad Ahmad, hadith № 5093).

.

Opinions of scientists:

Sheikh Utaimin (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It is haram for Muslims to imitate the unbelievers by celebrating Christmas, handing out presents and sweets, arranging various types of food and celebrating holidays. Because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Whoever accepts the likeness of a nation will be considered one of them."

.

Sheikh al-Islam ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book Iktiyau Siratil Mustaqeem: At one point, this may even provide an opportunity for the weak-hearted and seeking opportunities to accept proof of legitimacy.

.

The person who does this will be considered a sinner, no matter what the motive, whether it is for social protection, love, shame or any other reason. For this will flatter the religion of Allah and strengthen the morals of the disbelievers and give them a chance to be proud of their religion. (Fatawa Ibn Uthaymin 3/44)
